For the past month, many players have quit, and that is for a reason. Beast is dying, and for many reasons. But mainly bad decisions. One bad decision is resetting the server when there is no advertisement. Not talking about this reset, last reset. The server DIED after that reset, there were barely any new players. Now, the server is reset again, and there still isn't any advertisements. The server used to EASILY make 3 grand in a month, now it doesn't even make a third of that. Also, Beast just lost 2 of the most influential staff members, Bro and Phil. Let's be real, Tom cant run beast by himself. Another bad decision is resetting at the END OF SUMMER. Why not at the BEGINNING of summer? That's only common sense, when people have more time to play, more time to make money, and more money to donate. It honestly blows my mind how dumb some of these decisions are. Also, Beast has been 95% wither raiding for the past resets. Barely anyone cannons because barely anyone knows how. And now, out of the blue, for no reason, the server is turned into a %100 cannon server, WITH THE END ENABLED AND NO WITHERS ALLOWED. I mean, come on, use some common fucking sense Tom. Unfortunately I am going to have to agree with chuck on this one. I know you always dissaproved of my technique as staff but the senior staff members seem to be going about things the wrong way. This is what I was trying to say the other day but it came out wrong and I'm sorry for that. You have been focusing more on the server and these resets, which yes need to he done but there are other things to focus your time on. For example the advertising. The way you have been looking at things is from outside the community of the server rather than what it is actually like for the players. The time spent by the head staff is either in /v or pvp. This means that although you are adding things that you think are good for the server, they aren't and you don't know that because you don't tend to give much of you attention to the players themselves. Development of the server is good but you would be nowhere without the people who play on it..
Another thing I would like to add, on what conal said, is that Ben suggested adding withers to end, but Tom's response was, "No, it's our server and we can do what we want with it" Well guess what Tom, THERE WOULDNT BE A SERVER WITHOUT THE PLAYERS.
Heh, Yes, I will also agree that the server has gone downhill a great deal, as there is no regard for demand from players, and the communication in the staff team is not very good either. I believe that if there is a problem, you should get to the bottom of it, instead of just resetting when things go wrong. I mean, resets are not supposed to be common,yet we've had two in the last 3 months. WTH
I know everyone the server has gone down terribly recently I explained it all here and I promise we will have an advertisement shortly recently I have been having a lot of bank problems but problems with paypal but recently got them sorted out. You might think different but I have several things coming soon and trying my best to bring best back also we don't really get all the donation money what you guys give us with paypal fees and VAT in the uk you have VAT which is TAX which is 20% so - 20% from whatever donation goal we get also theirs paypal fees but I have saved up a lot of money which I am going to advertise I will say this either leave and don't trust me or stay and see what happens. I have big plans also I can promise we will either have the advertisement this or next month. Thats why we have done a reset. Thanks for understanding. Also the last reset in my opinion was the worst we ever had since it was very rushed and nothing really went to plan, but I will not allow that happen to this reset.
You are still thinking from a very technical point of view, something i suggest, come out of /v a bit more, talk to your players, do what a helper would do every now and then, integrate yourselves
I personally can't come out of /v once I do I get lots of people messaging and I sometimes do come out of /v just its hard most of the time I am busy fixing stuff or planning new things for the server of course that doesn't take all the time. but as soon as I say hi in chat I get messaged by a clear 10+ people then I spend about 1h replying to them all, Also most of the time I am tping to people see if their hacking and checking for xrays, everything builds up then I don't have that much time on doing things which are needed. Our head-mods/admins they are teleporting to people to check for hackers. Also I will try and come out more recently I haven't so much from working on the reset but now I am a bit more free I will try hopefully a few times a week and I already did today just can be stressful at times when lots of people are messaging you some about stupid things some about good things.
As I've told you previously, that's exactly what you need to do, even if you don't want to - can't is not the right mindset, you can it's just easier not to. Advertising becomes less important when people want to stay, because they feel like they're actually listened to and that when they give feedback it will be acted upon. People generally are not able to talk to you on the server (don't expect them to come here or team-speak to do it - because 80% wont) let alone have their suggestion listened to, or seriously considered without being instantly dismissed.
I know you have a lot to do, but In my opinion I think you have to learn to prioritize a little bit more, as you haven't really shown your face in a ling time, people can not put a face to the server, and that is one form of advertising, more to the likes of new players and to keep the older players, as they will be staying not just for the server but for the people on it as well, and if head staff members aren't visible most of the time, no one will get to know what you are like, or place trust in you. Also you may be an owner, but having other players see you as a player as well is good for your image. It inst all about the technical and outside advertising. It seems that you have adapted the attitude that people are replaceable, and although yes that is true, the ones that stay are the ones that will probably bring in more players, when new people see them playing online. I just think you need to organise your time management more and increase your public representation with the server. I am not saying this to insult or to poke holes or flaws, I want to see this server improve as it was my first, but there are different things to improve than the look of the server, the money side ect. And also i know that catching hackers is a big issue, but it is not something that needs to be spent on all the time, if you spend more time analyzing each ban case before the ban, and doing things other than that, then you will stop being seen as a server who just bans people left right and center, but maintaining the level of hackers to a minimal level
also you will need to learn to ignore the spam messages, or use an alt to chat to people and disable messaging on it or something, call the alt talkingtom or something like that, which is a specific account that you can go on to talk to the server which could have /m or /mail dissabled, so it is just one that you can specifically Talk to people on
Honestly I get both opinions. Tom I get that you get spammed a lot when you are out of /v. I got that when I was an admin too, (Probably not as much as you though) but I wanted to help people still and answer questions and get to know people. I used to be one of the top staff and was pretty influencial at the time. Now obviously I'm not and barely anyone remembers me. But when I was a helper and starting out you were a lot different. I don't mean this as an insult but you talked to all the players and helped people and answered questions and most of all I feel you listened to your staff members more. Remember JimjimSunny? Remember LonleyReaper? Remember Dark? That was so long ago but a lot has changed. Back then if there were 7 players on it would be amazing. Back then you would say "Welcome" to all the new players and "wb" (Welcome back) whenever I player came back. I miss those times. But they can come back. You and your staff just has to rebuild. Until it is just as good. And like Phil said listen to everyone. They have the ideas that will make the server great. So do your staff members. They are there for you. I was. You just need to consider them more as "Staff" and realize they WANT to help you. And will. So I feel like Beast can come back. Eventually. But listen to all of these comments. They will make Beast worth it. And all of the hard work worth it. (Read this whole thing Tom )

Today I have much more on the server and haven't been in vanish I am going to be doing this everyday since people need this connection with the owner and I am happy to reply to every question which you ask .
