Right guys, I intended to leave, and I am, but i refuse to let this server fall, so maybe this will help. Everyone post a paragraph below of what you think of the server at the moment. It can be what you think is working well, what you like, What you think isnt working so well and ways you think that that could change, times when you think that things havent been dealt with correctly, what went wrong and what should have happened. Anything that is going to help, as at the moment things are everywhere on different threads. Try not to make it too long and keep it as disrespect free as you can. Please guys come on, pull together to help this server, because im not leaving it in the state it is in
posting on the forums aiming it at others about a certain problem shouldn't ever happen it should either be sorted out in private or just left but not all of the community need to see whats happening between 2 people theres others but this is one big problem
1. The no dis rule is stupid to me. 2. There is too much staff, we just need a couple admins that are on frequently that's all 3. The /fly command in a factions server for only 100 dollars.. selling the fly command in a factions server is dumb in general but for only 100 dollars thats even worse. 4. less drama like posts like this one. the server would be fine if there wasnt so much arguing just some more ads to keep the servers population circulating. actually the server is fine its just dumb people like you saying the server is falling for "this reason, this reason, and this reason" when you're wrong and just creating drama causing people to leave. im new to this server and all my friends play on it. i join in for the first time and see arguin about no disrespect and then the next day i see you blowing up chat about how staff sucks on this server and about how the server is falling. and everyone else was arguin including me and even if at that point i had been playing for a couple day,weeks, or even months, that type of stuff is just saying "leave this server there is better ones out there" of course im not because i enjoy this server for the most part. 5. Tom is a good owner and this is a nice server.. i can tell that by the few days ive been here. the community however can be annoying at times but that can be fixed.. this server isnt going to fall as long as it continues to be advertised and negative people like you dont fill the chat with drama pushing new players away. Like i said we just need some circulation of new players Thats 5 opinions of mine.. either agree or disagree no offense to anyone its just some of my opinions Btw Conal i respect you for some weird reason. I'm not sure you quite have the proper perspective to make such a sweeping diagnosis, considering as you say, you joined a couple of days ago. We've gone from 180 players in January (we had a staff team of around 15) to averaging 15-30 at the start of August. That's quite a large contraction at a massive change for the people who have been here throughout to adjust to. The reasons for the change are subjective and as Tom has explained elsewhere, a lot of it has to do with his issues with Paypal. There are other fundamental issues though, which you probably have not picked up on yet (how can you, being so new after all?) that need addressing - at least Conal is trying to be constructive and encourage people to share their gripes. Sorry to say, but if Tom should take anyones post in this thread with a pinch of salt, it's yours.
Why do you think i said those were just 5 opinions and to either agree or not agree? I know i'm new but this server is very well put together so its not going to fall that's the only reason i told him hes wrong. My opinions are based off my experience from other servers that i watched die. Like i said they're opinions.. me being a new player to this server and him saying he was going to start advertising again (That's what i heard i could be wrong) then actually he should read my opinions. As i'm a new player and first impressions are a lot to someone and there will be more new players if he advertises.. if he disagrees then that's awesome too i'm just trying to point out obvious things that I've noticed since i have been here. I agree i came into this topic a bit strong but honestly if there really used to be that many people on then i wanna see that happen again just as bad as you guys do.
You both are correct, The server was hitting 180 players daily then a terrible issue happened and we had no backup, which made us reset our server as some people may know, then I couldn't advertise the server from some paypal issues but I have sorted them out now the next auction which I find will either be this or next month for advertisement, then the server will be on the correct track again, for now we need feedback from players so we can improve our server and so such bad events like what has happened recently doesn't happen again. Then BeastFactions will rise again.
Tommygroin i appreciate your input and the fact that you respect me, however with the attitude that has been taken recently it has caused me to worry about the server and whether it will continue. but it has improved, mainly I think because of the drastic shock from the sheer number of staff members and players leaving, it has kicked the rest into gear. Also, feedback like this has helped a lot, as staff are needing to listen and pay attention and make changes now due to these dilemas. As you have only been playing a few days, you have been watching the server improve from what it was, say a week ago. As i said this is for opinions so please do not say anyones are right or wrong, they are opinions. And as I have said i want people to put a mix f things that are good and bad, which i notice you did in your post so thank you for that im sure that will help the staff a lot
