As many of you may know, raiding can be a difficult thing to do. Looking at the way modern cannons have developed and how insane some peoples bases have become, it can be quite daunting. However, I will try to speed through basics of cannoning and raiding, from simple to extreme. Simple TnT Cannon A simple TnT cannon like the one below can be used to raid bases that aren't protected by water but they are still claimed! This cannon is very low in cost but cannot do much compared to some of the more advanced cannons. Link to a simple TnT Cannon + Tutorial Rusher Cannon A "Rusher Cannon" can complete the same tasks as a simple cannon, but with much more ease and less space. The rusher cannon is quick to build, utilizing the power of dispensers, and can prove to be quite effective on small bases that are not protected by water. Link to a Rusher Cannon + Tutorial Basic Hybrid Cannon Although some bases can be quite small and covered with only obsidian, a problem can occur when you encounter a base surrounded in a block, usually obsidian, covered with water or lava. When this happens, you should most likely refer to a hybrid cannon. For bases that are quite small, and only have one wall of a block protected by water, you can use what is known as a "Hybrid Cannon". Hybrid cannons take the ability of sand to cover TnT to make it possible for you to fire TnT in water. Hybrid Cannons are seemingly the tip of the iceberg for modern raiding. Link to a Hybrid Cannon + Tutorial Sand Stacker Basic Rushers and Hybrids won't be able to get you buy on BeastFactions. Often, you will encounter a Base that is suspended in air, or in an ocean. In the occurrence that you stumble upon one of these bases, it is best that you build what is known to as a "Sand Stacker". Sand Stackers shoot out sand to create a platform for you to hybrid on. Often, these cannons utilize the ability of a redstone comparator to create what is known as a scatter shot. Scatter Shots allow you to shoot several TnT at one time to increase the damage you strike on a base. Link to a Sand Stacker + Tutorial Before I discuss the next section of cannons, it is recommended that if you do not understand anything I say, please look it up or feel free to /msg dragonslayer_evn IN GAME. Please understand that cannoning at this level is very complicated, and its not something you can complete your first time. Also, before I begin the task of explaining these complex cannons, I will review with you some of the goals that these cannons look to complete. Slab Busting In some cases, bases will have multiple walls with long trenches to increase the difficulty of the raid. Often, these bases will have slabs at the bottom of their trenches in between their walls, to stop you from stacking sand and hybriding. PLEASE REMEMBER NOT TO TRY TO STACK SAND ON SLABS, YOU WILL LOSE A LOT OF TNT/SAND!!! In the case of slabs, you must try what is called slab busting. Slab busting often utilizes the power of the hammer (I will go into depth later) to rapidly propel TnT downwards to "bust" or essentially break the slabs. Reverse Hammering In some cases, you will find that the best way into a base is through its floor. If you come across a base that does NOT have its bottom water protected, than you should easily be able to reverse hammer their base. Reverse hammering once again utilizes the power of the hammer, but instead of shooting down, it sends the tnt up off of a backboard, into the floor of the base. Tutorial of how to Reverse Lein Cannon The Lein cannon is the most well known advanced cannon that exists. The Lein cannon allows you to fire with extreme power over long distances, stack sand, and hammer with great power. The Lein cannon is not the most material-efficient of its kind, but its a good cannon to learn if you are willing to dive into the world of complex cannoning. The Lein cannon also gets its name from the famous cannoner "Leinadarcher". Link to Lein Cannon + Tutorial Modded Lein Their are countless modded Leins that exist, because modding cannons really relies on personal preference and the goal you are willing to accomplish. One of my personal favorite modded Leins allows you to shoot with just as much power, but allows you to stack up to 40 sand per shot, and fire with more power in terms of regular hammering, and reverse hammering. Link to Modded Lein+ Tutorial Corner Cannon Honestly, I am not very familiar with corner cannons. The objective of a corner cannon is to attack the edges of faction base. These cannons target the edges of blocks that people often forget to water. These cannons can become very accurate and long ranged, but in my experience they are not that useful. Link to a Corner Cannon + Tutorial Corner Roof Cannon Often people get way to extreme with the sides of their base, so it can be useful to understand how to corner roof cannon. Corner roof cannoning can allow you to sand stack on top of someones base and eventually hybrid into someones base from the top. Corner Roof Cannoning is often the best way to cannon when people claim in a plus pattern, and don't have many claims in the corners of their base. Due to a lack of a link to a strong cannon, I will be uploading a video on how to do a powerful design. Until then, please refer to this weak corner roof cannon design. Link to a Weak Corner Roof Cannon Tunnel Cannon When people have farms or grinders at the bottom of their bases, it is often a good idea to tunnel cannon. These cannons essentially tunnel like withers do, and allow you to mine a long path and break the hoppers at the bottom of people's bases. Tunnel Cannons also help you break through TONS of blocks before you have to actually sand stack or hybrid. Often these cannons have sand stacking, one shotting, and hybriding features added to them. I hope this tutorial can help strengthen the BeastFactions cannoning community! Thanks -Dragonslayer_evn
