Sticky tnt- Sticks to flat surface cannot be pushed off (by pistons or other forces like other explosions) Cannot be placed on non whole blocks (e.g stairs, ladders, slabs. ect) Can only be lit via Redstone All blocks destroyed by explosion drop on the ground as entities. Calamity tnt- When hit with left click (attack button) it will instantly ignite Cannot be picked up (^that's why) X0.5 explosion arm time (time between ignition and explosion) X2 explosion radius. Blocks exploded do not become entities Ye ol' whistle tnt- X2 explosion arm time Explosion is focused in the direction the player was facing when he placed the tnt Louder arm sound (a whistling round as it is arming) Evolution tnt- Upon explosion the area exploded (the size of a normal tnt) is scattered across a 48x48 block radius (9 chuncks from source explosion) Flying blocks hurt when they hit you, doing 8 damage each. Mining tnt- Clears out a 4 high sphere radius going 8 blocks in each direction. Requires a flux pickaxe to ignite it. Fortune Freddy tnt- Doubles any material it explodes. Does not effect spawners X0.5 explosion radius Requires fire charges to ignite it. Prankster tnt- Does not damage players Upon explosion it destroys block as normal, after 60 seconds these blocks will slowly regenerate back to how they were prior to explosion. Plays an obnoxious sound upon explosion. Cannot destroy blocks which can hold items (e.g chests, furnaces, crafting tables, brewing stands, ect) Does not destroy entities. Can be disguised as any block by shift clicking the block you want it to look like. (Look at tnt, hold shift and right click with block you wish to disguise it with. will remove that block from your inventory) Admin tnt: God admin tnt- Upon explosion, it will reset the chunk it explodes in to it's original seed. Only obtainable by commands. Demon Admin tnt- Changes the biome of any chunk it explodes into a random biome. (does not damage blocks. it just changes the biomes statistics. e.g turning a hills biome into a hell biome)
Your suggestions would be cool to put in Beast, but some of the TNT's would create so much chaos on the server and I would think hard to choose too. The different TNT would probably be fit for a mod, instead of a Factions server. *Also is this an actual plugin available for factions out there? Or is this a suggestion for an in house plugin?*
Depends, there are plugins similar but tend to non compatible. The tnt are more to be balanced and utilities instead. having downsides along side upsides. and abilities given to admin to reverse the effects of these catastrophes if things get out of hand. Spent a good 3 hours going over little details just to ensure the reward/risk rate are even. and they couldn't be incredibly chaotic as their rarity would be much like spawners. or rarer. only to be obtained in events and crates. no drop parties. no vote parties. only as a reward, and luck combined.
That would make it balance it out a lot but there is still a problem with your solutions, what if there is no staff-Staff that can undo the chaos-online? Most players I have seen would just try to create that madness with the TNT. Also when you say "Events and crates" what do you mean, you said no dp's but wouldn't that count as an event? Or do you mean like more uncommon events we have, like the event we haven't seen for a while *Or at all I'm not sure* The Maze Event announced earlier this month. And crates, which crates would the special TNT be in, most crates give TNT. Would the higher crates have a slim chance to give out the custom TNT too?
Adding to this which I forgot, you are saying that there are plugins out there for the custom TNT but isn't compatible correct?
Some of these are too op and would cause more problems and lag then worth. However some of these ideas are good. Maybe tnt called gigantic tnt? And causes bigger explosions? Just so thoughts
Okay to clarify. let me say when i mean events i mean events you have to work to get them. e.g warp raid. and by crates they will not be in standard crates. only rare + and their ranking would be put in order so rare chest would be a sticky tnt, nothing special but if you get it then it has value to it without being extremely common. so as for chance. it's a 1.5% chance per crate, making it's value increase although they're not as OP as you'd think if you can only get 1 every 50 keys.
Well if it's that rare then what's the point of having them as I doubt people would get hundreds of keys to throw at the chests yo get a decent amount of them to raid with
What's the point of any rare or expensive items if they're hard to get. like legendary keys. very few ways to get them but useful.
