So I literally just realized that this is honestly a gigantic problem. First off, the power is 10. On a server with a limited playerbase, how do you actually even grow your faction, so you have enough claims for a good base? You can't. The Archon shows this as a great example, no this is not copying them. It's just what works. The Archon's "dead" realms have 50 power every player, that is about a player count of 10-50. But their realms that are very popular, have 10 power per player. And in between 30 power, 20, etc. Also - the server should have a faction cap. That is, the max amount of players in a faction. A example is desire's 62 players. 62 players when we have barely hit 50 as a factions server. It just doesn't look right. TLDR : Pretty much power is too low on a server with a low player count. It is not possible , unless you use alts, to reach maximum power. I suggest 30-50 power per player and a cap of 25 players. Side Note : Players spawn with -10 power.
I think factions should only have 10 power per player. thats just what factions is and how it should be.
Lets not forget the Archon is OP factions. Build bases to suit the amount of power you have available.
True, But I do like what Nich is saying here... I do agree... Look at vape, there is like 6 - 7 people that actually play and the rest is alts.
The reason I think this is a good idea is because it would definitely help for smaller factions to be allowed to build big claimed bases, which could in terms lead to more raids.
OPFACTIONS has nothing to do with it. It just makes the gear more overpowered, but still bases off on the regular gamemode. The economy, raiding, bases, all the same. Just some little aspects in there like overpowered armor and tools, etc. We will build the bases we want, but we can't do that. That is why Desire was so god damn over powered. Richest faction ---> more people want to join -------> more power ----> bigger base/bigger farms/they can't even get raided -----> more money. Who is going to join a small little faction? How will they even get started on the server?
But what you say is RELATIVE. Even if we change it to 20 power with a 25 person cap, a new player is going to have the same chance, because they're one or two people vs 25. 25 people with 20 power each vs 45 players (25 players and 20 alts) at 10 power each is precisely the same???? Your argument is completely rediculous and is only solved by changing to DTR.
No, the problem is there aren't 45 people factions on the server are there? Only about one or two. It would make a difference currently for those smaller factions right now because they could get more claims
Considering you've not been on the server for the best part of a month, you seem to be speaking with some (alleged?) knowledge of what's happening? What you proposed isn't practical, because you cannot impose a faction player limit when there are already factions with more people in than said limit. The only change I would be open to making is raising to 20 power as normal, but that would significantly benefit larger factions more than smaller ones, so I'm not prepared to change that at this present time.
I completely agree. Large factions will benefit from this alot more and as a 1 player small faction owner, i dont seem to have a problem with the power and claims
The small factions need to make unclaimed bases... If they have big giant bases it will be hard for them to maintain.
