Hello everyone! It's KeefChief, today/tonight, wherever you are, whatever time zone you're in, I want to talk about the bans! Please note, this thread doesn't have anything to do with any of my bans, but it has something to do with other people in the past. Don't stop reading there! Lately I have been called out for "getting people in trouble from what the did a while back". Today is quite the opposite, I want to talk about some other people that got banned for what I think is wrong, maybe other people will think so too. Firstly, this is not regarding anyone that didn't break the rules and should be unbanned, but this person broke the rules and should be banned. I get it Phil. You are trying to take a different approach at things, and change things up a bit, I got no problem with it. "Why am I posting this if I have no problem about it then?" you ask, well its just weird. The server has been doing certain things a certain way for a long time now, and I wouldn't mind a few changes here and there, but this one is "silly" I guess you can say. http://beastfactions.net/community/threads/ok-i-have-been-hacking.2206/ In this ban appeal, he does not only 1, admit to hacks, but 2 bypassed? Phil had a suspicion that he said aloud in chat talking about how his "brother" joined like 2 minutes after he got banned. The point here is that he hacked, just admitting to hacks is different, but this guy hacked! Never have I ever seen in Beast Factions history a hacker gets unbanned without buying an unban/and or the evidence is false and gets unbanned. To go along with the above ban appeal, I have a mute appeal to kind of compare the two. In this particular mute appeal, the person got muted for 3 days for saying racial slurs. There may have been more to it, but no staff has replied to the appeal and its been up for a few days, so I'm guessing he only said a racial slur. Now, saying a racial slur vs. hacking. The hacking guy gets unbanned and the racial slur guy remains muted. But the point is, he don't have access to a lot of commands that he should have access to, and the main deal is that he saw a hacker get unbanned before he got unmuted for breaking a smaller rule. And this new "Good Conduct" thing is a bit crazy. I can't even say stuff like "You're bad" anymore because I will get warned for it. It's not some type of disrespect in my opinion, but I get it different people have different opinions. Also about the character spam and chat flood stuff, and anything related really, some staff say a certain amount is chat flood and the other one doesn't. You guys need to agree on stuff! Some helpers just feel the need to go ahead and mute or warn before talking to the higher staff, well no active higher staff to talk to most the time, but I understand. I know everyone has heard this a lot but, this is a factions server, you should be able to talk trash sometimes. (I don't know for sure if the links work, but they should. If they don't you can just copy and paste them) I guess that's all I got to say, if I decide it's not, I cant control anything because we cant edit our posts. I find it quite funny how he said none of his bans because he was a perfect staff member in the past. I think you are being rather hypocritical as you were one of the ones who would do things like this a lot. We staff take a vote on what we think is the right action to take regarding apeals and if the majority choose one that you don't like then it's a bit tough really. Can I just say aswell we take into account people as ban/mute history when we look at appeals not just the offence itself
